Thank you for taking the time to look up the Pediatric Dental Center. My name is Francisco, but I go by Koko, I am a pediatric dentist of 23 years, anchored in this island community who still loves his job.
The Pediatric Dental Center is a dental clinic that offers the highest quality comprehensive dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and special needs. The range of services are from prevention of dental cavities, restorative treatment for both primary and permanent dentition, nitrous oxide analgesia to help calm patients undergoing simple restorative care and for those extensive situations, beyond a particular child’s tolerance, general anesthesia sedation.
The ambiance of the clinic is one of nurture, education, and empathy, always respecting the abilities of each child to cope with the stresses of a dental procedure. I strive for a pain free dental visit, where the child’s participation is recognized and rewarded through positive reinforcement and the obligatory toy. :)
Fairness, complete insurance knowledge in utilization and billing, as well as coordination of treatment plans, are what we at the Pediatric Dental Center offer our parents beyond the specialized dental care for their children.
Our goal has always been to foster lifelong oral hygiene habits and the acceptance of the routine dental visit amongst our patients and parents. Prevention and exposure work together to achieve this goal. Children learn to become familiar with the dental setting, to make it easier for them to actively participate in routine dental checkups ensuring a healthy smile. By teaching parents, the pathway of dental caries and relating this to how it can serve as a basis for prevention, we make simple recommendations for daily routines of oral healthcare to keep a happy pain free mouth.
